Ric began his tenure in 2012 quickly getting involved with the GGCF/Garden Grove Chamber Golf Classic. He was committed to finding sponsors, recruiting golfers and improving the annual tournament to be known as well-established fundraising event enjoyed by many each year.

Ric's passion to improving the quality of life in Garden Grove also led him to making an impact on the GGCF Summer Concert committee. His dedication to bringing high quality bands and expanding our resources has made Garden Grove Free Summer Concert Series one of the most well attended concert series in Orange County.

Ric's pledge to philanthropy and improving the community was evident in his efforts advocating for more assistance to community groups. During his tenure as President, GGCF donated over $60,000 to community groups such as the Garden Grove Police Explorers, One More Productions and the Miss Garden Grove Pageant.

Ric's legendary commitment to the Garden Grove community will be missed by his colleagues on the Board and his Garden Grove extended family.

There are a wide variety of ways you can help the GGCF. A majority of our funding comes from corporate contributors, but there are many ways that individuals and smaller companies can help.

The Garden Grove Community Foundation invites all Garden Grove community members, including corporations and private citizens, to participate in enhancing community life in Garden Grove, while giving you a tax-deductible opportunity to show your support for Garden Grove's children and families.

The GGCF program is funded entirely by private donations and sponsorships. We are constantly seeking the support of our community to improve our city. Below is a short list of opportunities that need your sponsorship support:

  • Each year, the GGCF plans and organizes a free Summer Concert Series for Garden Grove families to enjoy. These events typically attract an estimated 1,000 people. Performers are always top quality and attendance has been steadily increasing every year.

  • In addition,the GGCF supports a variety of community wide-events every year, including the annual Tree Lighting event and Open Streets.
