Strawberry Zest Sculpture
A fundraising project is underway to erect a new sculpture in front of Fire Station 84 on Valley View Street as part of a branding component for the City and West Garden Grove Business District. Local artist Jennifer Stewart designed the concept, which will stand approximately six feet tall and consist of a strawberry emerging from the peel of an orange. Meant to symbolize the agricultural heritage of the area, when Orange County really was “orange” county and when one of Garden Grove’s leading crops was the strawberry, Strawberry Zest will serve as a focal point for the community as well as celebrate the City and County’s heritage.
